Overview
The first time I visited Ocean Shores the “resort ” feel made me want to move straight in. Living the resort lifestyle seemed very appealing. The village is one of Tauranga’s well established villages designed for independent living.
The large community centre building that greets visitors on entry contains connects to apartments as well as containing dining, swimming complex and spaces for activities. There are 126 villas surrounding the community centre; sitting comfortably in well established gardens.
I was shown through the village by Maree McLaren and found her kind and calm manner very reassuring. The village is owned by Arvida who has 5 villages in Tauranga.

A restaurant open for serviced and casual lunch and dinner every day, a hair dressing salon, library, billiards, pool, spa, indoor/outdoor bowls, sports pavilion, putting green, workshop, croquet and pétanque facilities. There is also a village bus. A guest suite is available for use.
